Land was purchased from Samuel Cherry in 1840 and a wooden sanctuary was erected. The church was struck by lightning in 1938 and was destroyed. A few furnishings, including the piano, were saved. Members immediately went about erecting a new church, the one which stands on the site today. Located at corner of Broad and Cherry Streets.
